To Lolcats


Dear Lolcats,
 

Iz on yr interwebz laffin’ mah pawz off.
 

Oh Lolcats, you amuse me greatly. Personally, I’m allergic to cats. Never really liked them much. Pictures of cats? Cute as a toddler’s bedroom. Maybe. However, pictures of cats with mangled English? HILARIOUS. I could spend hours with you.
 

Why? I have no idea. The cashier at my local 7/11 speaks broken English and God knows I don’t find her anywhere near as funny. But you kittehs with your invisible playthings and human intentions. Oh, it’s too much to bear!
 

I worry about you. Of course I do. You have destroyed untold amounts of otherwise productive time at work. Like any addict, I keep telling myself I could quit you at any time. I just didn’t choose to yet. Sure.
 

And you’ve ruined every interaction I have with normal human beings. Every voicemail I leave begins, “Iz in yr phone leavin’ yr msg”–and who knows how many second dates that’s cost me. That and my constant need to point out invisible birds. Cud u halp meh wit dat?

    Before I saw LOLCATS, I hated cats. Every cat I’ve come across ever has always scratched or bitten me. Ever since I’ve seen LOLCATS it’s like they sense my love. Now, me and cats are cool.
